NOTES:
With pianist and label-mate, Wiley Bardull, Rusty and Doug Kershaw now recorded in Tennesse where their essentially idiosyncratic style was buttressed by the emergent sound of rockabilly. You wont hear the frantic, shakin, roadhouse stomps of Memphis - Rusty and Doug were too fond of a good melody for that - but a rockabilly flavour is easily discernable in Bardulls country boogie piano and the ingenious but torrid licks of Hank Garland. |
