Grupa developerów Ubuntu wydała (po czterech miesiącach od ostatniego wydania) koleją wersję - 6.10 o nazwie kodowej "Edgy Eft".
Rewolucyjnych zmian nie ma, głównie uaktualnienia pakietów i drobne zmiany:
* zmiany w interfejsie graficznym
* GNOME 2.16
* Firefox 2.0
* Evolution 2.8.0
* jądro 2.6.17
